Our revenue comes from a small success fee paid by the lender on each funded mortgage, calculated as a percentage of the loan and capped at a fixed maximum. No subscription, no minimum volume, no charge for deals that don't fund.

The Openfund Report is purpose-built around FSRA's suitability and disclosure framework — documenting the rationale for the recommended product, the competitive comparison considered, the borrower's exit strategy, and the KYC and audit trail. Brokerages can submit Openfund Reports as their principal broker review documentation, and the format is designed to map directly to what regulators expect to see in a compliance review.

- Openfund is currently optimized for residential mortgage deals in Ontario across the full lender spectrum — A, B, and private. The platform handles 1st mortgages, 2nd mortgages, refinances, and construction lending. Commercial and rural property deals are supported in select cases. If you're unsure whether a specific deal fits, our team can review it during your demo.
- Most brokers complete onboarding and submit their first deal within 30 minutes. Onboarding includes a brief verification of your FSRA license and a walkthrough of the platform with one of our team members. There's no required training program, no certification, and no team minimum — individual brokers and full brokerages can both onboard.
- Yes. All client data is stored in Canada (ca-central-1), encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+, and access-controlled with role-based permissions. Openfund is PIPEDA-aligned, FINTRAC-aware, and built around FSRA's regulatory requirements. SOC 2 certification is in progress. Detailed security documentation is available in our Trust Center.
